Sophie Cunningham fans waste absolutely no time on Friday
To say that Sophie Cunningham has cemented her status as one of the most popular players in the WNBA would be an understatement at this point.
The 6-foot-1 guard’s profile skyrocketed when she joined the Indiana Fever last season, playing alongside Caitlin Clark. Cunningham capitalized on her fame by, among other things, starting her own podcast and also trying her hand in sportscasting. The 29-year-old signed on as a part-time analyst for USA Network’s WNBA coverage this season.
Naturally, Cunningham also closed multiple endorsement deals. Currently, she has partnerships with big-name brands such as Adidas, Arby’s and Wuest Nutrition, to name a few.
Sophie Cunningham’s shoes sell out in hours
Cunningham already had an endorsement contract with Adidas even before she joined the Fever. However, it wasn’t until recently that the sportswear giant decided to give her own Player Exclusive (PE) shoe.
On Friday, Cunningham’s Crazy Energy PE dropped. Her fans wasted no time. The shoes were sold out in hours.

Cunningham’s PEs were sold exclusively on the Adidas website. They retailed for $120 each, which fans clearly felt was a more than reasonable price for the Fever star’s first-ever sneaker.
The launch was an undeniable success, which could lead Adidas to consider its next move on Cunningham. The PEs were a big hit, and it would not be a complete shock if they start working on her signature shoe.
