Bears TE Colston Loveland shares big announcement before NFL season
The Chicago Bears are set to open their 2026 regular season on Sunday. Colston Loveland will play a bigger role this year and he shared a huge announcement four days before their first game.
Loveland finished last year with 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns in 16 regular-season appearances, including 11 starts. He received more playing time as the campaign progressed and is now the team’s TE1. Chicago is aiming to surpass its success in 2025, and expectations are high on the second-year tight end.
The Bears won the NFC North with an 11-6 record and reached the Divisional Round. They defeated their rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in the Wild Card Round before the Los Angeles Rams eliminated them 20-17 in overtime.

Loveland shared The Farmer’s Dog’s Instagram post on his account on Wednesday. The company has partnered with the NFL to be its official pet food.

Loveland added a message on his story.
“Big one announced this week and nobody is more pumped than me and Chase! #TFDpartner,” Loveland wrote.
Loveland is one of The Farmer’s Dog’s partners, along with New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo. Tennis star Jess Pegula and NASCAR champion Ryan Blaney also endorse the company.
The Bears will face the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 at Bank of America Stadium. Three home games follow versus the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets. Starting the season strong is crucial as the team faces the league’s toughest schedule.
