Angel Reese’s savage message for Valkyries caught on camera
Angel Reese played inspired basketball in Game 6 of the WNBA Finals on Thursday. She made sure the Atlanta Dream lives to fight for another day and keeps their championship hopes alive. Cameras also caught the star forward’s savage message for the Golden State Valkyries.
She finished with 15 points, 14 rebounds and six assists. Reese shot 5-of-18 from the field, including two three-pointers, and added one steal and one block. Allisha Gray led Atlanta’s charge with 23 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Rhyne Howard contributed 21 points, four rebounds and four assists. Jordin Canada chipped in 10 points and four rebounds in the 80-69 victory.
Golden State’s attack, on the other hand, was spearheaded by Gabby Williams. She registered a game-high 26 points, along with three rebounds, three steals and three three-pointers. Tiffany Hayes backed her with 15 points, three rebounds and two steals. However, none of their teammates scored in double figures.
Angel Reese sends direct comment to Valkyries player
Reese told a Valkyries player to remain in her seat on the bench before she shot a free throw. Cameras captured the moment, which was posted on X.
“Sit down, you’re on bench,” Reese said.

Reese had back-to-back subpar performances. However, she bounced back strong when it mattered the most, giving the sold-out State Farm Arena fans plenty to cheer about in the afternoon matchup.
The teams will play Game 7 on Saturday at Chase Center, also known as Ballhalla. Golden State holds homecourt advantage as the higher-ranked team, securing the No. 2 seed following a 32-12 regular season. Fans will likely sell out the venue immediately as the Valkyries approach making history. They can win their first championship in franchise history in only their second year of existence. CNBC will air the game live at 8 p.m. ET.
