Cameras catch Angel Reese’s obscene message during Dream game
Angel Reese played arguably her best game of the season on Monday. She led the Atlanta Dream to a 79-65 Game 2 victory in the WNBA Finals over the Golden State Valkyries. The star forward played inspired basketball throughout the game, and cameras caught saying an obscene message in the third quarter.
Reese finished with a game-high 30 points on 10-of-16 shooting and 16 rebounds. She added three assists, one steal, two blocks an shot 9-of-11 from the free-throw line. Allisha Gray supplied 18 points and five rebounds, while Jordin Canada contributed 13 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists.
The win allowed the Dream to steal homecourt advantage with the series shifting to State Farm Arena for Games 3 and 4. Atlanta entered the playoffs as the No. 4-seeded team after a 30-14 regular season. Golden State earned homecourt advantage by clinching the No. 2 seed with a 32-12 win-loss slate.

Reese was fired up after converting a tough layup despite getting fouled. Her basket gave Atlanta a 44-42 lead with 4:49 left in the third period.

The Dream are in a good position to win their first WNBA title. Games 3 and 4, as well as Game 6, if necessary, will all be played in Atlanta, giving Reese and Co. a strong chance to win it all.
She has broken several league records this season, including most rebounds in a game. Reese also now owns the most rebounds and double-doubles in a single campaign. The 24-year-old earned her third All-Star nod and first Defensive Player of the Year award. Additionally, the former LSU Tigers star was part of the Team USA lineup that won its fifth straight FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin, Germany, in September.
