The Paiutes, a Native-American tribe indigenous to parts of Nevada, Utah and Arizona, told early white settlers about their ancestors’ battles with a ferocious race of white, red-haired giants. According to the Paiutes, the giants were already living in the area.
Roaming, man-eating giants
The Paiutes named the giants Si-Te-Cah that literally means “tule-eaters.” The tule is a fibrous water plant the giants wove into rafts to escape the Paiutes continuous attacks. They used the rafts to navigate across what remained of Lake Lahontan.
According to the Paiutes, the red-haired giants stood as tall as 12-feet and were a vicious, unapproachable people that killed and ate captured Paiutes as food.

The legend
The Paiutes told the early settlers that after many years of warfare, all the tribes in the area finally joined together to rid themselves of the giants.
One day as they chased down the few remaining red-haired enemy, the fleeing giants took refuge in a cave. The tribal warriors demanded their enemy come out and fight, but the giants steadfastly refused to leave their sanctuary.
Frustrated at not defeating their enemy with honor, the tribal chiefs had warriors fill the entrance to the cavern with brush and then set it on fire in a bid to force the giants out of the cave.
The few that did emerge were instantly slain with volleys of arrows. The giants that remained inside the cavern were asphyxiated.
Later, an earthquake rocked the region and the cave entrance collapsed leaving only enough room for bats to enter it and make it their home.

The find
Hundreds of years later archaeologists explored the cavern near Lovelock, Nevada–the cave the Indians had described.
What the scientific researchers found was staggering: over 10,000 artifacts were unearthed including the mummified remains of two red-haired giants—one, a female 6.5-feet tall, the other male, over 8-feet tall.
Many of the artifacts (but not the giants) can be viewed at the small natural history museum located in Winnemucca, Nevada.

Confirmation of the myth
As the excavation of the cave progressed, the archaeologists came to the inescapable conclusion that the Paiutes myth was no myth; it was true.
What led them to this realization was the discovery of many broken arrows that had been shot into the cave and a dark layer of burned material under sections of the overlaying guano.
Among the thousands of artifacts recovered from this site of an unknown people is what some scientists are convinced is a calendar: a donut-shaped stone with exactly 365 notches carved along its outside rim and 52 corresponding notches along the inside.
But that was not to be the final chapter of red-haired giants in Nevada.
In February and June of 1931, two very large skeletons were found in the Humboldt dry lake bed near Lovelock, Nevada.

Theres a theory already out there that the giants that lived in ancient times, aka Goliath, where actually ET’s from the constellation Orion. This also seems to be the case in some myths and ancient stories.
Of course,this supports the Biblical account of giants in the bible, and also the Genesis 6 account.
Of course, this is a hoax because if there were giants it would have shown up far earlier from the archeological record.
These could also have been Viking explorers too no? Seems the 6 Kings were quite familiar with the North American continent during that period they tend to gloss over in government school based history.
I bet we’ll be hearing more on the Vikings now that Disney wants to bring the Mars VS El Comics Version of the Nordic “MYTH” to public consciousness otherwise known as the big screen…
This is why the brown people have to be removed before whites can slave away for the masters, brown skinned folks tend to have too much ancient knowledge that doesn’t fit the time-line being pushed on us and our children. Absolute hogwash, poor science, hoax, Lochness type of story.
Notice the mummy doesn’t show a yardstick or anything to measure it too? No diagrams showing its size? It’s a hoax story.
So the story was that they were 12 feet tall, but we see that,
“the mummified remains of two red-haired giants—one, a female 6.5-feet tall, the other male, over 8-feet tall.”
So the numbers were increased by a factor of 2 and 1.5. What does that suggest about the cannibal idea. Is there a chance that this idea was increased by a factor of 2 as well?? I know that there were lots of people who ate their defeated enemies, but finding two corpses does not PROVE that unless their stomachs we full of Paiute flesh. Right?

I can’t find any first-hand reports of these finds. Though newspapers are cited, there are no articles online or even quotes from the articles. It’s just the same copy and paste job of claims far removed from any source.
Pure crap! I’ve read several similar articles that try to justify various religious mythologies. The mummy of Ramses didn’t help.
I heard they have giant mummys at the smithsonian, they won’t let the public have access because it verifies the Bible as true
Myths of these giants are found the world over. Myths have their basis in reality and have to be considered possible regardless as to whether the picture posted alongside the information is Ramses or not.
We today are too far removed from the reality that once was. We need to be open to outlandish and speculative information and pick through it ourselves to find what fits and what doesn’t.
PS, Egyptian artifacts and mummies have been found at some of the “closed to the public” sections of the grand canyon, so if someone turns up a picture of ole Ramses at the ancient Grand Canyon Gift shop you shouldn’t be surprised.
Perhaps these are the people who built the pyramids.

Yeah Larry, but they may be coming back on the UFOs soon, so we need to know all about them;in particular if there ARE any giant-skeletons anywhere.Proving that to all would have a tremendous impact on everything-so it should be taken serious; after all, all mythology and folklore has those stories/memories.

I have heard of this once before (Giants), but being a skeptic I did some research after reading this article. Giants are mentioned in many places in the link below. This is amazing, if true, and has been out-there for years, but hey, didn’t we once believe the Earth was flat and that the Sun revolved around it?

Winnemucca and Lovelock are two of the biggest whore-house towns in Nevada! Maybe that’s why the giants were there?
