Newtown Has Reputation As Satanic Hub

In this 1996 article, Perry DeAngelis found that although the Newtown Police Dept. covered for Satanism, 45% of local respondents to a telephone survey had heard of Satanic cult activity in Newtown.
by Perry J. DeAngelis
The Connecticut Skeptic Vol.1 Issue 1 (Winter ’96)
(Abridged by henrymakow,com)
I have lived all but four of my thirty two years in Connecticut.  In that time I have heard about the haunted cemeteries, Revolutionary War ghosts and hidden psionic labs (more on all these in future issues).
Satanism in Connecticut, specifically Newtown, has been one I’ve often heard.  It was only a few months ago when a friend came to me with tales of further satanic atrocities perpetrated in Newtown as told to her by a local nun.  Once again the shadow of Lucifer’s wing had apparently darkened the skies over this innocent hamlet.  This was a respected nun at a well known school.  If she too could fall under the sway of these rumors, then indeed they could not be ignored.  Understanding the obvious connection between a woman of the cloth and satanic sensitivity, this was still a person of irreproachable reputation.  And she was not alone.
When I was in middle school, and again in secondary education, teachers commented about Satanists in Newtown.  Indeed, one went so far as to describe a dance held off Pine Tree Road in the night wood.  How my teacher came by these details, I do not know.  At the time I was not inclined to ask.
From teachers to housewives, nuns to carpenters, the tale would not die.  It seemed to have a tremendous half-life.  When I found it still burning brightly all these years later, it was time to discover the truth.  I set about to discover just what was rearing its ugly head in Newtown.
I visited  the headquarters for the forces of Light, the Newtown Police Department.  This led to a conversation with Detective Robert Tvardzik, the department’s Communications Officer.  He stated, as alluded to earlier, that the only activity in recent memory even approaching satanic activity had been some vandalism attributed to local youth.  No arrests were ever made, and he was convinced that Newtown was not the focal point for this hemisphere’s demonic legion.
My above findings were what I expected to find in Newtown Connecticut.  This does not mean, however, that Satanism does not exist.  It does.  The United States Army publishes a pamphlet (#165-13) entitled, ‘Religious Requirements and Practices of Certain Selected Groups – A Handbook for Chaplains,’ in which it states that there are an estimated ten to twenty thousand members of the Church of Satan in the nation.  This is an impressive estimate, since these groups are so tight-lipped about numbers.  The largest US satanic denomination is the Church of Satan, based in San Francisco, and they stead fastly refuse to release their membership numbers.  This is not unlike any fringe group (the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazi’s, Flat Earthers, etc).
The faithful claim that two types of Satanism exist.  The mainstream Satanists refer to themselves as Religious Satanists, claiming to be the rightful heirs to the title of Satanists.  The other group is their fringe, and is generally referred to as Gothic Satanists.  This is the Satanism of film and legend, with its black masses, child sacrifices and violent sexual excess.  The former group claims to be benign and are only practicing a form of organized hedonism.  This ‘if it feels good – do it’ philosophy is what drives the faith, not a battle with the Judeo-Christian god and his flock.  There are nine ‘Satanic Statements,’ that form the core of the belief of the faith.  These are put forth in ‘The Satanic Bible,’ by Anton Szandor LaVey (b. 1930), and published in 1969.
In abridged form they are as follows:
 1. Indulgence, not abstinence.
 2. Vital existence, not spiritual pipe dreams.
 3. Undefiled wisdom, not hypocritical self-deceit.
 4. Kindness to those deserving of it, not love wasted on ingrates.
 5. Vengeance, not turning the other cheek.
 6. Responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic vampires.
 7. Man as just another animal – the most vicious of all.
 8. Gratification of all one’s desires.
 9. The best friend that the Christian Church has had as they have kept it in business for centuries.
The Connectictut Skeptical Society conducted a random telephone survey of 100  Newtown residents to determine what their beliefs are concerning satanic cult activity.  Of those called, 52 declined to participate in the survey.  The results of the 48 people who responded are listed below.
Although almost half of those responding had heard rumors of local satanic cult activity, only 12% believed that such activity was common in Newtown, and fewer believed cults represent more than a minimal threat.  Despite this, almost 40% believed that the Newtown police should give at least medium priority to investigating cult activity.   Interestingly, responders were more than 4 times as likely to believe that satanic cults are common in the US in general than in their own home town.

Newtown was also home to the largest mental institution for many years and was closed, drug testing was done there for sure.

You could probably get those same kind of numbers anywhere in the country and without another poll to compare it to it really means nothing.

What I’m wonder is what is your point and what are your conclusions?

      I mean really who cares?

    • Keith Brekhus

What a bunch on nonsense. SO your evidence is some wacky sample of 48 people who think Satainsim is a problem in AMerica (but a smaller problem in NEwtown) and you have one guy with a popular “rock and roll’ hand sign as additional evidence? I hope you don’t consider this journalism.

Most of the kids were not killed, they were taken. The parents were not allowed to see the bodies of their children and later they were presented with ashes, that were supposedly the cremated remains. Sandy Hill was done by Israel because Zionism = Satanism. Netanyahu was pissed because Obama fired 36 senior military Zionists and Netanyahu brought vengeance to the USA. Now, what would Satanists do with a bunch of children? Visit Jim Stone’s website.

So right after I ask who really is jim stone, you want us to visit his website? Why ,so they can track us?hey thanks anonymous  According to this video here: Henry Makow and Jim Stone are Co-intel I personally dont need a govt spook to feed me info.I know sandy hook was psy-op-THEY ALL ARE

Satanists need innocent blood for certain rituals. What do you think Ruby Ridge was all about?

      • kacklebarney

And you got this info from what wacko? Do you believe everything you read on the internet?

      • Anonymous

“The parents were not allowed to see the bodies of their children and later they were presented with ashes, that were supposedly the cremated remains.”

They had to identify their children PERIOD and if someone cremated all of the bodies, then you would have seen an uproar and lawsuits.

You are so full of it.

What a crock of crap.

I agree. Wiccans aren’t satanist first off and this story has NO real information, no facts that back up that headline. Total load of crap.

    • TruthHurts

most cops are masons and masons are Luciferians. they learn this at the 27th degree.

so they will lie about it and say they haven’t heard of it, especially in court.

and its true, we haven’t seen any bodies, who has proof this even happened?

this is obviously a DARPA run mind control “lone gunman” scenario targeted at attacking private gun ownership.

no one is even suspicious that they had a “Patsy” photo ready to go in all major media outlets across the nation?

or that all of the proven scum in government immediately called for Gun Control?

obvious Hegelian Dialectic set up and executed with mass media complicity.

      Lets The kids
      Rest IN Peace

This will be the first xmas their families will have without them, then new years
every Holiday will remind them of their loss…

And what did the parents do wrong?
      Send their kids to school?

all the presents they got for them, now what? Bring them back?

I hope you dont have to go through the loss of your child…

Long after the media and social morons, are done trying to capitalize on the pain, the families will have years and years to try to accept their loss, birthdays being the worse, then to watch other children that didn’t get KILLED, and ask WHY them and not my kid, and to blame GOD and not the evil that people do to each other.

Satan worship is real not just as rumored in Newtown Conn. but all over the country. I live in a Mid west city I have heard strange stories that are suppose to be based in fact about devil worship practiced among some of our citizens. Just like guns I believe that any books or other material linked to dark magic should be limited to public access. Black magic is real and is nothing to play around it can cause destruction just like a hand gun or rifle .Those who become too involved in this type of ritual lose respect and any compassion for their fellow man. Didn’t Charles Mason have links to Satan Worship? if so it would explain the horrible method he and his followers used when they murdered actress Sharon Tate and her friends back in the late 60′s. I’m sorry that Satan worship is linked to Newtown. More bad news on top of all the tragedy they have suffered.

“Just like guns I believe that any books or other material linked to dark magic should be limited to public access. Black magic is real and is nothing to play around it can cause destruction just like a hand gun or rifle ”

And you will be the censor? You will decide what books should be banned?
Absolutely any book or information could be considered “satanic” by the church, by the religious pious. Look what the pope did to Galileo. He stated that the earth revolved around the sun. The church imprisoned him with the threat of execution, until he recanted the truth to appease the idiotic. Absolutely anyone who practices a religion or spirituality that you don’t like, could be and has been labeled Satanic by someone.
The history of organized religion is the history of Satanism and deception.

BTW, gossip is black magic, most people gossip. Gossip is evil, satanic.

DHS is gearing up to conduct a massive civil war against the American people!
China, Russia and Mexico are planning an invasion of the U.S. The military is helpless to counter such an attack on American soil without huge casualties of American lives. The only option, arm the citizens and drug them with Prozac, Ritalin, Zoloft, and other psychotic drugs and turn them into “Hyper Killers!” like what was witnessed in the Connecticut shooting. Kill any target without remorse, no pity, no pain, and no guilt! That stupid kid(Adam Lanza)was a test subject and his mother was an expandable asset of the C.I.A,an operative who worked for D.A.R.P.A. The victims of the shooting were the targets intended! For these monsters the experiment was a success! The shooting was a show of force to test the rest of the world. “If you invade the U.S. this is what you’ll have to deal with an armed population of psychopathic killers on drugs!” The Red pill is always hard to swallow…

Zoroastrian literature contains discussions of personal relations only in legal contexts and is quite explicit with regard to sins of a sexual nature.

Zoroastrian literature contains discussions of personal relations only in legal contexts and is quite explicit with regard to sins of a sexual nature, including between males. The information about “homosexuality” contained in this literature is restricted to anal intercourse, as defined in the Videvdad (8.32):

“When a man releases his semen in a man or when a man receives the semen of men.”

The action takes place between sexually mature males (aršan–), and there is no mention of sexual intercourse between prepubescent boys and adult males, so common in the Islamic period, or between women. In the Avesta there is no mention of heterosexual anal intercourse, but in Zoroastrian texts this practice is alluded to and equally condemned.

In the Zoroastrian world picture, the world is a battlefield between the forces of good and evil, and, since one of the duties of the partisans of good is to produce new life in the manner of Ahura Mazdā and his daughter-consort Ārmaiti, the earth, the barrenness of homosexuality clearly qualified it for the camp of evil, as elaborated in Zoroastrian literature. According to the myth of the establishment of the lands of Iran in the Videvdad (1.11), anal intercourse between men was produced by the Evil Spirit to plague Ahura Mazdā’s ninth creation, the land of the Hyrcanians (vəhrkāna). The term used is narō.vaēpiia- “male anal intercourse,” and the corresponding verb is active vaēpaiia-, passive vifiia-, past particple vīpta-. The original meaning of the term must be “to shake, make tremble,” a normal feature of sexual ecstasy. In Old Indic this term is commonly used to denote poetic and religious ecstasy, and the use of vaēpiia- in the Old Avesta (Yasna 51.12, to some extent incomprehensible) should probably be interpreted in this vein as a “trembler, quaker,” rather than as with a sexual connotation, since it is a derogatory term used about a rival poetaster (kəuuīna-; see Skjærvø, 2001, pp. 373-74).

Elsewhere in the Avesta anal intercourse is only mentioned as an instance of sinful behavior that is to be punished. There is a distinction between consensual and non-consensual passive partners; thus, in the Videvdad (8.26-32), the punishment for a man who is submitted to anal intercourse against his will is “eight hundred strokes with the horse whip, eight hundred with the bastinado,” which is the same, for instance, as for killing a sheep-dog (Vd. 13.2); but, if he does it willingly, his sin is inexpiable. Moreover, both the active and passive partners are regarded as daēuuas (see daiva) and daēuua-worshippers and succubae, incubi, and she-males of daēuuas; that is, they belong to and promote the evil creation and will remain daēuuas after death. Similarly, the Dēnkard (chap. 22; ed. Dresden, p. [13]; tr. de Menasce, p. 41) tells us that the souls of passive and active participants in anal intercourse, because of their proximity to dēws, themselves look like dēws.

There is also an Avestan fragment that indicates that the passive partner in anal intercourse may be killed with impunity (Fragment, Vd. 7.52.3), which underlies the rule cited in the later Zoroastrian literature that killing someone practicing anal intercourse can be a good deed (Dāde-stān ī dēnīg, question 76, ed. Anklesaria, 1958, p. 146; SBE, vol. 18, pp. 223-24 [question 76], translations partly outdated) or that anyone may kill two men (ḡolāmbāra and mowājer) caught in the act by cutting off their heads or slashing their bellies and that they are the only ones that can be killed without the permission of high priests or kings (Saddar naṣr, ed. Dhabhar, chap. 9; SBE, vol. 24, p. 267).

In the Middle Persian literature, anal intercourse is referred to as kūn-marz, lit., “buttock-rubbing.” Elsewhere the Avestan terms are used, spelled variously, presumably to render the Avestan forms (see, e.g., the manuscript variants in Mēnōy ī xrad, ed. Anklesaria, pp. 103-04). According to the Pahlavi books, kūn-marz was instituted by the Evil Spirit when he performed it on himself (pad kūn-marz ī xwēš) to create by abortion “demons, lies,” etc. (Mēnōy ī xrad 7.10; SBE, vol. 24, 1885, pp. 32-33; tr. Tafażżoli, p. 22), an act that the Pahlavi Rivāyat (chap. 8d2; tr. Williams, II, p. 12) considers a heavier sin than when he performed it with the dēws. The Pahlavi Rivāyat (chap. 8c3-6; tr. Williams, II, pp. 11-12) adds that it is this evil practice among dēws and humans that produces and increases most evils in the world and which will only be abolished when the Sōšāns comes and all men practice sexual intercourse with their mothers and daughters (xwēdōdah).

The longest discussion of anal intercourse, its rationale, and the reason why it is so evil is found in the Dādestān ī dēnīg, questions 71-76 (ed. Anklesaria, 1958, pp. 140-47; SBE, vol. 18, pp. 216-27 [questions 72-77]). Here it is explained clearly that anal intercourse was instituted by the forces of evil to prevent the semen of men from mingling with women and so from producing the desired result of renewal and furthering of life in the service of good, and instead to cause the progress of mankind to come to an end.

For the rest, the Pahlavi books basically repeat the injunctions of the Avesta, adding a few details about the amount of sinfulness involved. Thus, in the classification of the Mēnōy ī xrad (35.4-5; tr. Tafażżoli, p. 51), kūn-marz is the heaviest sin a person can commit, while the second heaviest is being a passive (wīftag) or active (*wēbēnīdag) participant in anal intercourse, which seems to indicate that the author understood these terms differently from kūn-marz. In the Dādestān ī dēnīg (question 71 [72]) the two (wīftag nar and wēbēnīdag nar) are mythologized as two of the seven ancient evildoers, whose evil matched that of the Evil Spirit himself; the former instituted the practice of male intercourse aimed at destroying procreation, while the latter taught men to deposit their semen in the wrong receptacle, male or female. A characteristic feature in these sources of anal intercourse is the stench it produces, which, according to the Pahlavi Rivāyat (chap. 8c5; tr. Williams, II, p. 11) reaches the world of the Adversary (petyāragōmandīh), but according to the Dādestān ī dēnīg (questions 72-73 [73-74]) does not reach the unsullied realm of God and the Amahrspands (cf. Ebn al-Jawzi’s statement, Ḏamm al-hawā, p. 192, that the stench of Hell comes from the pudendas of adulterers).

The punishments and future prospects of men performing anal intercourse vary in the sources. In the Ardā Wirāz-nāmag, the passive performer (u-š mard abar xwēš tan hišt) is punished by having a snake the size of a beam go in through his rectum and out by the mouth, while other snakes are chewing up his body (chap. 19; tr. Gignoux, pp. 174-75).

Curiously, this sin is the first that Ardā Wirāz encounters in Hell; all other sins are further down, and so more serious, among them anal intercourse (presumably heterosexual) coupled with adulterous seduction, which is punished by being eaten by snakes and worms (chap. 71; tr. Gignoux, p. 201). In the Pahlavi Rivāyat (chap. 41; tr. Williams, II, p. 69) kūn-marz is listed together with adultery, highway robbery, and various other sins as deserving capital punishment. According to the Rivāyat ī Ēmēd ī Ašawahištān (ed. Safa-Isfahani, chap. 29.8; Pers. ed., p. 186), the sin of kūn-marz even annuls the merits of xwēdōdah; and only tearful repentance and bodily penitence can save the sinner (ibid., cf. Dādestān ī dēnīg, question 71 [72]). In the Šāyest nē šāyest (supplementary texts, ed., Kotwal, chap. 17.7), he who commits kūn-marz is listed together with the “heretic” (ahlomoγ) as someone who is not raised after death and whose soul remains a dēw, in accordance with the Videvdad (8.32); but in the Dādestān ī dēnīg (question 74 [75]) it is pointed out that, according to the Dēn, all dead bodies are resurrected, though some authorities deny this. A more lenient view is expressed in the Dādestān ī dēnīg (ibid.), where it is said that it is possible to convert the sinner, which is the only reason one might want to sit down at table with them. Indeed, the Amahrspands pity those deceived by the dēws and forgive them, and the Creator would not want to abandon any of his creation to the Lie (ibid.).

Only in the much later Persian rivāyats do we find a distinction between intercourse with adult men and under-age boys. Thus, according to one rivāyat (ed. Dhabhar, 1932, p. 291; ed. Unvala, 1922, I, pp. 307, 310), ḡolām-bāragi with a man (fifteen or older) counts as a margar-zān sin, that is, worthy of capital punishment, but with a boy of eight as a tanāvīrī sin, that is, fifteen times less than a margarzān sin.

Why is Lucifariens missing from this poll. All you had to do was truck on down to the local Demonic Lodge/Masonic Temple (Follow guy in picture for B-Line there /BET he has a “G- Compass” sticker on his truck) Every town that has a Masonic Temple (Every Town) has “Satanist” but, they “Luciferians” dont believe in “satan” because “Satan” comes from the word, “Saturn.” They ESERTERIC CULT MEMBERS believe in “the light bearer” aka G, in whome they believe they are.
I believe “they” should be made to carry every brick back to Eygpt.

The photo caption from above: Above – Dead teacher Vicki Soto with warlock, i.e.male witch, making sign of Baphomet.

What a crock of BS. That hand-sign also happens to be Amslan (American Sign Language for the deaf) for the phrase “I love you.” CNN (the “credit” stamp shown on the photo) almost NEVER gets anything right. Nothing but a pack of sensationalism disguised as news.

Thumbs out=I love you. Thumb in=cornuto, devil hand sign.

And you call yourself a skeptic? You are a religious looney, who believes in things that go bump in the night and then doesn’t apply any rationality to find out if, why and how instead falling back on supersition…. how mindless and how sad.

Anyone who believes Satan doesn’t exist need look no further than Ed & Lorraine Warren. Read The Demonologist, a book about their lives engaged in spiritual warfare. They’ve lectured all over the world and use empirical evidence to support their claims.

Just because you’ve never experienced it for yourself does not mean it doesn’t exist. Evil exists in the incorporeal realm just as it exists in the tangible world.

Coincidentally, the Warrens own an “Occult Museum”, one of the items kept there is a Satanic idol found in the woods of NEWTOWN CONNECTICUT, sometime in the early 90s.
