Cat In the Hospital!! O_O
OMG!!
WHAT a crazy day!
Sunday was so wonderful and things went so well– while yesterday and today everything was just chaos and medical issues!
First, Cat stayed home the day I had my medical appointment to take her mother for her next blood transfusion. Sharon had do deal with that– and it takes nearly all day. It’s tedious, but necessary, and Cat insists on being with Sharn for this procedure, even though Sharn says she doesn’t need company.
NO! I’ve gone and sat with her too for this. We watch TV or listen to podcasts and talk as bag after bag of blood is brought in. Cat and I agree it’s not right to leave a person alone for that shit!
Monday night, Cat wasn’t feeling so well and after her mother went to bed, Cat actually asked me to bring her some things downstairs, which is very unusual. So I did and told her to let me know if there was anything else she needed. She had abdominal pain both high and low, so she thought it was just bad gas.
At about 3am, Sharn knocked on my bedroom door to tell me that she was taking Cat to the emergency room! Something was wrong and Cat’s pain was so bad she actually passed out! When she came to she crawled upstairs to get her mother for help– she had a sprained wrist, too, from where she fell when she fainted.
Needless to say, I didn’t sleep well after that! I stayed home to attend to animals and such and Sharn called me this morning to tell me Cat was admitted to the hospital. They wrapped her wrist and gave her SO many tests. Turns out she has an ovarian cyst AND a suspicious swelling around her appendix! She was being tested all day and they are keeping her overnight while she takes antibiotics. They won’t mess around with a possible appendicitis!
ACK!
