Prelude to today, or what has always been?

Inside is a Tic-Tac UFO sighting (by pilots), long before the 2014-2015 observations [Page 51]:

And then there’s the 1954 Rouen “saucer” that looks remarkably like the 1950 McMinnville “saucer” photographed by farmer Paul Trent [Page 24]:

Both photographs said, at the time, and even now, to be “authentic” but are they?

The Trent “sighting” has been dealt with here, at this blog and others, extensively. It’s a juicy UFO sighting. As for the Rouen photo, I’m not fully aware as to how that has been evaluated, but both observations, photos, and incidents are substantive, not like today’s sightings, of amorphous lights and weak witness accounts.
