Husbands and Wives: They are special (terms and combinations)

The New Yorker article about Yuval Harari, the astute author of that best seller, Sapiens, cited here [2/1/4/20] insists on referring to Harari’s “husband” Yahav who is Harari’s literary/business/gay partner.

I hate the gay usage of husband or wife in partnered relationships. Pete Buttigieg, whom I’m supporting along with Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, for the Democratic Presidential nomination, also refers to his partner as his “husband.”

For me, gays using the terms – husband and wife – to describe their partnerships, especially a high intellectual like Harari, goes to how their thinking is skewed and errant.

Such wayward attributions and thinking makes me wary of whatever else shows up from such otherwise brilliant persons.

Anyway, gays using “husband and wife” for their significant others eats away at my admiration for enlightened, intellectual persons who happen to have beloved partners of the same sex.

For my point here. I’m only saying that for Harari to use the term husband for his associate and partner strikes me as a linguistic faux pas and a chink in his otherwise brilliant cogitations and writings.
