My pal, Bryan Sentes (and he is a pal) wrote another encomium-oriented piece about Carl Jung and Jung’s masterful book, Flying Saucers : A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies:
In the blog piece, Bryan offers a near-scholarly pièce de résistance from which Bryan pursues his ongoing insistence that cultural milieux or societal existensia should be inculcated within UFO research.
He is not alone in that, and it must be acknowledged that many ufologists have attempted to insert the idea that when and where UFOs are seen is meaningful to the phenomenon’s explanation.
Nothing could be furthers from the truth or reality (as I keep trying to convey to my fellow UFOers).
The phenomenon, like God, appears to be ineffable, but UFO enthusiasts continue to seek for an explanation of the enigma, to no avail, I might add.
Bryan and his cohorts keep trying to insert the whims of mankind into the mix. It hasn’t worked and it doesn’t work, obviously.
We all know the futility with which we flying saucer fanatics have sought a clue to the mysterious things seen in the sky (and sometimes on land or in the seas).
I was thinking that UFOs which allegedly (and erroneously) have crashed might be akin to the Martian probes Earthlings have sent to that planet but crashed upon entry to it.
This allowed me to conjure the idea that UFOs might be like our probes, unable sometimes to make safe landings, which would put the technical advance of their creators not very far ahead of human engineering, maybe 50 years or less.
The idea being that UFOs come from a parallel universe or dimension next to ours from which the probes [UFOs] derive.
But we have records of them [UFOs] from antiquity apparently, so that rules out my conjecture.
That aside, let me again repeat – and I’ll delve more deeply into the matter upsoming – that UFOs are not beholden to Jung’s mythical or psychological meanderings about the things nor do we need to further attend to Bryan’s stipulations that the civilizational time in which UFOs are seen or reported matters.
UFOs lie outside the human frame and overlay that Bryan keeps trying to push down our throats with academic bluster and foolishness.
I appreciate his ramblings but at some point they have to be dismissed so that UFO investigators and thinkers are kept from trotting off into the weeds of nonsense that some in the UFO community kept foisting upon the phenomenon, taking us farther and farther from the real explanation of the profound mystery.
