Dr. Masters’ book, noted here recently (a few times) adds to my belief that alien visitations (extraterrestrials in UFOs) are an errant explanation.
Chapters 4 and 5, Fermi’s Paradox and Occam’s [sic] Razor (Pages 56 to 19) offer all the science needed to confirm that visitor’s from planets outside of our solar system would be absolutely different from us, as a species, (evolutionary reasons), too distant to reach us (via stellar travel, worms holes, black hole tunnels), time exigencies, and various other suggestions often cited by UFOers.
Dr. Masters is striving to suggest that UFOs (or in his lexicon, IFOs) contain visitors from our future, and continues to make his case as I plug along, trying to keep up with his academic acumen.
Dr. Masters inserts various classic UFO events with a patina of ET errancy, providing a scrim suggesting that his selected cases make more sense if we see them in a time-traveler scenario; the Betty and Barney Hill episode being one.
If you like science facts and theorems to bolster your thinking, the book will sate you completely.
I have a way to go to absorb Dr. Masters’ contentions, and will present them here as I grasp them.
Meanwhile get the book — if you can countenance all the “howevers” the good doctor employs — to see how he makes sense of the many UFO reports we all have struggled to understand. It’s not an easy read but a truly worthwhile one, better and better as I pore through it.
