The UAP Brainwash

Throughout history (and humankind), someone has tried to control things by providing warped or errant information, about almost everything.

Most of you know that.

The current attempt to sway the public and especially those of us here, who are UFO enthusiasts, is the use of UAP [Unidentified Aerial Phenomena] in place of UFO [Unidentified Flying Objects].

The change appears simple, minor even, but it takes us from the idea of constructs flitting around our skies (and military installations/activity) to an inert or harmless, a mundane phenomenon, like those ephemeral weather events that occur spontaneously, causing oohs and ahs among the citizenry.

It removes the insinuation that something of substance is overhead (or in our seas) that may be more interesting or concerning than a light or amorphous clump asserting itself upon aircraft, ships at sea, or military arrays.

Even the supposed enlightened among the UFO crowd – there are a few – have taken to using UAP, in obeisance to the intentions of those who want us to think of “flying saucers” – UFOs being the earlier propagandistic name change – as amorphous phenomena like quantum quarks or other arcane, esoteric elements of the physical world.

I won’t name those who’ve been taken in or gulled by the governmental attempt but you’d be surprised how fast the brainwash has taken effect.

Yes, UFO biggies are and often have been persuaded by those who have reasons to deny the UFO reality and I’m not talking about the skeptical view of UFOs, which is a canard all around, but the purposeful thrusts to make us believe that UFOs are either hallucinatory or misinterpretations of meta-phenomenal arrays; Donald Menzel comes to mind.

So, those of you inclined to use the term UAP, don’t do it here. I see that use as anathema and as vulgar as the n-word or Anglo-Saxon “f*ck.”
