Has everyone given up?

Holy cheese! I’ve never seen such ennui in the UFO community (and across the board too).

No one is looking for possible explanations of the UFO phenom- enon, no one.

The Facebookers – which contains almost everyone involved with the topic, past notables and newbies, both – are sitting tight waiting for the U.S. Senate required report of UFO activity reports and attention by U.S. agencies, scheduled for June.

Others are sopping up past iconic and unnoticed UFO accounts, smearing them with new commentary that sounds much like past commentary.

There is an apathetic atmosphere in the UFO world, one that stifles new input, the Vallee and Harris book about a goofy 1945 “encounter” taking center stage, for some unknown reason.

In my MediaWatch capacity I’m seeing interviews and news items where interviewed persons are waxing enthusiastically about some mundane activity: a store opening or new business, a sporting event that is blasé, saying they are just “excited,” some “wildly excited it seems.

Human activity of significance is at a nadir and UFO activity equally so.

I’m even seeing, among my usually vibrant and highly intelligent chums here, a dearth of input that is unique and creative – just commentary to keep this blog in the active category, which I appreciate, really.

I dropped out of UFO activity for a short while in the last 70s, because it was in a rut then too, somewhat.

And I’m finding the current UFO environment boring also.

Even a U.S. notice that UFOs are real – I don’t expect anything more than that when the June “disclosure” occurs – will not spur me to renewed excitement.
