No, the USA won’t break up into pieces. The difference is that the Soviet Union was already communist when it broke up. But the USA is turning communist, so when and if a total collapse occurs, instead of breaking up, it will all become once big piece under martial law and state control.
In short, the collapse in the 80s was the fall of communism, and the future collapse for the USA will be the rise of communism.

It is different for the USA. In this case the country will be demolished by severe natural disasters.
