They come in small sizes ranging from 1/8th of an oz to 1 oz and are effective in collecting a school of fish within a minute. The cut and formation of the lures makes it effective. The name comes from the diamond shape cut of the upper handle, which causes a light reflection on the surface. They are very useful for catching the bass fish as well as stripers or crappie. Many other small species of fish can also be easily caught with these types of lures.

Spinner Baits

This is a combination of a jig and a spinner and works very well for bass fish. The important thing to remember while using this lure is to match the size of the spinner bait to the bass. For instance, if you are trying to catch a smallmouth bass, you must use small spinner baits.
