With aquaponics you could probably sustain 10 people on 1/4 acre. And if we find ourselves in a true shtf situation you’ll have to have a reverse osmosis water filtration system and probably an aquaponic system becuase soil will be too contaminated. What happened in Fukushima will likely ruin soil on our west coast over time and we have the potential of having dozens of those happen here. Of course if others know you have food you’ll die trying to keep it. Well I expect to see our grid go down never to be returned, but it may not get that bad.
