Stop calling them “Rino’s”

Stop calling them “Rino’s”; they’re not even insulted by the name. Why you ask? Because they never really believed in the Republican principles in the first place! While each of them can pick out a principle or two they can get behind, as well as gather voter support, for the most part very few believe in the overriding principle of small, decentralized government serving in its proper role. If we are going to call them animal names I believe the right and appropriate name would be “PIGs”. Now I know it would be insulting to the species, it would be entirely accurate. Let’s diagnose this a little bit.

First; why the name PIG? Well, as an acronym it would stand for Politicians- Increasing- Government. To me it doesn’t matter what you call yourself, it matters what you do and regardless of political party politicians are increasing the size and scope of government. Today with the advent of Obama care (which is the largest expansion of government in American history) I find it extremely ironic that those who ran on a platform of stopping the growth of government simply voted to expand government through the passage of a Continuing Resolution which includes funding for Obamacare. PIGs voted for (through procedural votes) to fund the largest expansion of government in American history.

Secondly; why call them PIGs? Pigs feed at a trough. They don’t care where the food comes from they just eat what’s in front of them and continue to eat until it is gone. Our mothers called this, making pigs of ourselves. The PIGs (Politicians Increasing Government) have excluded themselves, their staffs, their special interest buddies and left us, SAPs (Silent American People) to foot the bill. We must speak up and out against the growing number of PIGs in office. If you want to find out a PIG running for office, the next time you see a politician ask them one question. What are your plans to decrease the size of government? If they do not have a specific and ready answer to that question step away quickly, you are speaking with a PIG!

Finally, if you want to know who is a PIG simply watch them as they mingle in the sty (The Legislature). PIG’s in a sty will root around looking for food when the trough is empty. PIGs normally do not hang out together so you can tell the difference between one PIG and the other, but when there is food in the trough they all rush to be the first one at the trough. Each PIG greedily trying to get as much food as it can, pushing and shoving the weaker, smaller PIGs out of the way. Then when the trough is empty the PIGs will again separate from the others looking for scraps. This is what is happening with the Continuing Resolution (food in the trough) that the PIGs do not want you to see. Everyone is talking about Obamacare vs. Continuing Resolution instead of the real struggle which is the Continuing Resolution vs. Smaller Government.

They exact same scenario is going to take place with the debt ceiling debate and the bait and switch aspect is the same. The real debate that needs to happen is should we continue to grow government or reduce it. I think you know which side I am on. So, in conclusion let’s start calling it like it is, stop feeding the PIGs (Politicians Increasing Government) and stop being a SAP (Silent American People). The good news is there are some that are trying to help us Cruz, Lee, Paul et al, let’s make sure we help support them as they fight for smaller government.
