She said “we did not work so hard to on a web site, we worked on an initiative.” That is the problem. They were so in love with the dream of finally realizing their utopian dream of universal health care, that the silly practicality of making plans really work did not cross their little brains. It worked great in their imagination and since they have not experience in the real world of creating a product, beta testing it, or test marketing it. They just assumed that since well meaning people like themselves created it, consumers would abandon their tried an true insurance and willingly pay more for an inferior product.

The difference between when the private sector versus socialism. When a entrepreneurial capitalist creates, they work to make it the best product for a price people want to pay. They strive to make the best product so they can win in the marketplace. They test and test to make sure it will run. They examine every cost of production so that they will please the customer with a great product at great price.

When socialists push universal, one size fits all products and allow no competition, then they fail. The pinheads at the top of the utopian mountain have are guided by vision. Practicality takes a second place. When socialists take power, they make sure they allow no competition.
