Clinton Probe Reopened … The Real Story
The reopening of the Clinton probe brought panic to the Hillary camp and unbridled joy to Team Trump, but did it go down as the media would like you to believe?
October 28 will go down as the release date of one of the biggest October surprises in memory. The FBI issued a letter to Congress basically stating that the Clinton e-mail probe was being opened once again. The media in a rare show of unity jumped all over this story, much to the delight of the Trump campaign, all of his supporters, and the GOP. But what is the backstory?
The media has generally led the public to believe that the Clinton probe has been reopened due to information obtained from an unrelated case, the criminal investigation of Anthony Weiner and his alleged sexting a minor. That in itself is a pretty convincing story. Anthony Weiner is one of the most hated people in America, and his antics have made him an easy scapegoat. But were the findings from the FBI’s investigation of him really what triggered the news about the Clinton probe? Maybe, but there may be a better explanation.
Ever since James Comey shocked the country with his announcement July 5 there have been rumblings of dissension within the ranks of the FBI. Reports and ‘unnamed sources’ have been popping up for months backing this up. The latest rumor is that a mutiny was about to occur within the walls of the FBI if Comey didn’t come correct … and quickly. Based on this theory, Comey didn’t have much of a choice but to reopen the Clinton probe.
Either way, it probably makes no difference as to why the probe was reopened. It is refreshing to know though that there are at least SOME parts of the government machine that still have the backs of the American people.
