3rd Anniversary Celebration: Top of the Citi, Makati

After posting our 2nd Anniversary Celebration, here’s our 3rd Anniversary dinner. We celebrate our anniversary every 6th of June and this year, it falls on a weekday. Since we’re both working on a normal day shift, we decided to just have dinner as our simple celebration. I told him that he’ll be the one in-charge on where to dine because he always depend on me when it comes to going out. So this time, it’s his turn to pick a restaurant.

I was impressed that he was able to find something new within the Metro. I’m overjoyed! The restaurant is located at the 34th floor of the Citibank Tower.

We first seated inside the restaurant but decided to “dine out” for a more romantic ambiance. Since it’s located on the top floors, you can appreciate the city lights. We were lucky that there were not much customers when we arrived. We had a quiet time together just enjoying our company and the food as well. Carpe Diem!

We browsed on the menu and chosen their recommended dishes. While waiting, they served fresh buns with butter. We had our little “exchange gift” too. Hahaha! ^_^

Anyway, after a couple of minutes the food came. Here’s what we ate that night:

Appetizer:
Francis Cuyegkeng’s Roast Duck Salad (Php 390)
Slices of roast duck and panache of assorted lettuce, in light sesame vinaigrette dressing.

I enjoyed the salad so much! I can even go to the restaurant just to order this duck salad. It’s really a must try.

A creamy mushroom soup! Yummy!

Main Course:
Certified U.S. Black Angus Rib Eye Steak (Php 1350)

A soft, tender, juicy rib eye steak! Hands down! Hahaha! Super tasty! Delicious! The price is a bit steep but definitely worth it. Every bite counts. Hahaha!

A different kind of cordon bleu. A tastier one compared to other cordon bleu I had. Andrew enjoyed his meal as much as I did.

Classic Pasta Bolognaise (Php 450)

Super rich pasta bolognaise. This was the last meal we had and we didn’t finish it because the servings of the first two dishes was more than enough for us. We just take it home. Hehe.

Dessert: unfortunately, we didn’t order one since we’re already full. We even take home the spaghetti!

By the time we finished our meal, the rain started to pour. The customers were all transferred inside the restaurant. Good thing we’re done and just waiting for our take away bag.

All in all, we loved the restaurant. The prices was all worth it. I recommend it to those who want to try something rare within the Metro. A simple meal with your loved one would definitely be a night to remember.
