Paris in 1940-and now


“The French-American love/hate relationship has always been in flux. I’ve traveled to France several times, enjoyed its art, culture, cosine, and night life. I’ve known, partied, and worked with wonderful French people. I won’t consider going there now.”

My friend Jim Horn is a retired State Department diplomat who served in the Middle East during his career in government. In short, he has learned a few things about Islam along the way and he considers Islam to be a danger to the West. He is also familiar with France. In the below article he wrote for the Porterville Post, he describes how that once great countery has deteriorated. It is not a pretty picture.

“France welcomed Jews who fled the Nazis seeking a safe haven that is no longer safe for them. Moslems assault Jews daily. Jewish lives are in jeopardy and they need to hide or to camouflage their Jewishness to avoid being attacked. Synagogues are being abandoned and/or destroyed regularly. France is losing its valuable Jewish members as they flee to safer places.”

France’s worst sin, in my view, is how they have abandoned their Jews to the Muslim thugs who have brought their centuries-old Jew hatred with them to France. Just this week, we learned that the punk who murdfered Sarah Halimi, an elderly Jewish woman in her own apartment, savagely beating her and throwing her off her balcony, will escape justice thanks to a French judge who ruled that the killer was not legally responsible for his act because he had smoked marijuana prior to the killing.

Like Jim, I have visited France many times, and, to be honest, never had a negative experience with anyone there. It is a country with many beautiful places to visit. Sadly, however, those places are being ruined by untold numbers of asylum-seekers, freeloaders, and Islamic radicals from the Middle East and Africa. Days ago some 700 illegals from Africa physically stormed the historic Pantheon in Paris demanding immigration documents and free housing. The current government of Emmanuel Macron is inept at best and criminally negligent at worst. Is it any wonder the Jews are leaving by the thousands? If this is what France really wants, then it is hard to feel much sympathy. Like Jim Horn, I have no wish to return to such a country.
