People buzzed about the UFO phenomenon don’t want conjectures or far-out explanations about it.
They want answers, even if those answers are not what they want to hear.
The problem is that there is no answer or answers for the phenomenon. When Zoam Chomsky, Lance Moody, or CDA write that the UFO story is today what it was in 1947, they are correct.
When the phenomenon popped up in the public ether, Zoam insists that it was a zeitgeistian folly, a nothingness without any reality at all.
That’s a harsh, irrational position, but there it is.
Even hardcore believers in the “reality” of the phenomenon are perplexed by the lack of evidence for any UFO event or sightings, despite reams of photos and reports by people who seem to have a core of normalcy about them.
Every “explanation, skeptical or otherwise, is tantamount to gossamer despite some circumstantial overlay, pro or con.
Every film or photo or story is flawed, or without any concrete element to cement it to an explanation, any kind of rational explanation.
Everyone in the UFO community – and that includes the skeptics – is desirous of an explanation for the things known as UFOs, a terminology that exists even if the things referred to by the terminology do not.
UFO fanatics will follow those who have a pastiche of material that hints at an explanation that fits the “facts” of a UFO sighting or event, even if those hints are just as will-o’-wispy as the supposed UFOs themselves.
Being theoretical about UFOs doesn’t gather fans, nor does non-determinate skepticism neither.
Having an odor of an explanation is what holds UFO buffs in place. Anyone or anything that smacks of an explanation, again, pro or con, will hold a ufologist to one’s bosom.
UFO folks just want an answer for the phenomenon, any answer or real explanation will do.
Enough with the postulations or denials.
