China’s Xi Jinping Takes Direct Aim at U.S. in Speech
BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | March 6, 2023: Things are heating up as the United States puts pressure on China for being a close ally of Russia. Chinese leader Xi Jinping criticizes Washington DC, blaming it for what he termed a U.S.-led campaign to contain China, worsening the troubles and global uncertainties of his country.
“Western countries – led by the U.S. – have implemented all-round containment, encirclement and suppression against us, bringing unprecedentedly severe challenges to our country’s development,” said the Chinese leader on state media on Monday. And that “In the coming period of time, the risks and challenges that we face will only increase and intensify ever more.”
“Suppression and containment will only strengthen the will and boost the morale of the Chinese people,” said President Xi, at the November (2022) summit with President Biden. And at the a Communist Party congress in October (2022), he said: “External attempts to suppress and contain China may escalate at any time.”
