Anything can happen anywhere, and the scale and intensity of the event, could be anything. Those people in Ireland are definitely responding to a horrific event. Imagine, being a parent or loved one of those children or adults that were involved. Especially in Ireland, a place that you would least expect something like that to happen.
My heartfelt grief and prayers go out to Ireland.
My opinion is our intelligence and homeland security, in no way could keep up with any real or suspected threats. So, we on a personal level must be super vigilant. Especially, during this time of year, when this evil force knows it is our most important holiday season. A time when there are many gatherings and crowds of people.
Being an old timer and 70 yrs. old next year, my wife and I have become semi-reclusive due to the current times, not out of total fear, but giving us a better sense of security.
I also just went out and purchased some home defense tools. Something, I have not owned, since the late seventies and eighties.
