Israel Warns of Multi-Front Iranian Attack (Video)

The intelligence suggests that Iran is modifying its regional strategy based on lessons learned from the October 7, 2023, Hamas assault. 

Captured internal Hamas documents revealed that Yahya Sinwar hoped his initial attack would immediately pull Iran and Hezbollah into a wider regional campaign. However, because Hamas kept the exact timing secret, its allies failed to launch a fully synchronized, large-scale simultaneous offensive. Under the leadership of Khalil al-Hayya—who assumed control of Hamas in July 2026 and maintains tight strategic ties with Tehran—there is an active effort to rebuild the “Axis of Resistance”. Rather than relying on proxies to join a conflict after it starts, Iran’s new doctrine intends for all external fronts to operate symmetrically from day one

In response to these developments, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have elevated readiness levels across multiple commands: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir ordered immediate, unannounced exercises to test the preparedness of emergency forces and the General Staff against sudden, multi-front infiltrations. The Israeli military announced the launch of large-scale exercises simulating sudden land, sea, and air attacks near the Red Sea coastal city of Eilat and the Araba Valley along the Jordanian border. While Western diplomats warn that the region remains highly volatile, these intelligence reports highlight a structural shift toward tighter, centralized Iranian command over its regional proxy network. 

On September 5, 2026, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired multiple ballistic missiles at a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier (reported as the USS George Washington) and a guided-missile destroyer patrolling regional waters near the Strait of Hormuz. According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), both American warships successfully evaded the unprovoked attacks, and no American personnel were harmed. 

While U.S. officials confirmed that the warships completely avoided the ballistic missiles without sustaining any damage, Iranian state media and the IRGC issued conflicting claims. Tehran asserted that its missiles successfully struck and damaged both the U.S. aircraft carrier and the destroyer, forcing the American warships to “flee the conflict zone”. U.S. forces firmly rejected Iran’s claims of damage. 

Following the failed missile strikes, the U.S. military launched immediate retaliatory strikes targeting Iran’s multi-billion-dollar shadow oil network. Following the U.S. retaliation, the IRGC claimed it subsequently targeted additional U.S.-linked vessels and an unmanned surface drone attempting to enter the Strait of Hormuz, while warning that any continued U.S. military action will draw even heavier responses.
