A very dangerous tornado outbreak is expected today across Nw Texas and western and central Oklahoma. This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION! Heed ALL warnings.

An outbreak of tornadoes is expected in the southern Plains on Monday. Strong tornadoes are possible from western portions of Texas into western and central Oklahoma. A major threat of flash flooding is expected from northwest Texas into Oklahoma, Kansas, western Missouri and northwest Arkansas. The storms will also generate destructive hail and high winds.

A tornado outbreak is expected to hit the southern Plains Monday, along with a major risk of flash flooding, both of which will pose a serious threat to life and property.

NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued a rare “high risk” of severe weather from northwest Texas into western and central Oklahoma where there is the greatest chance of strong and long-track tornadoes on Monday afternoon and evening. This highest threat level of severe weather was last issued by SPC just over two years ago on May 18, 2017.

The SPC has issued a HIGH RISK of severe thunderstorms for southwestern Oklahoma and northeastern Texas. This is a tornado-driven high risk with a 30% chance of tornadoes within 50 miles being the probabilities as of the creation of this video. The first, less intense wave of storms will move through mid to late morning with the second more dangerous wave moving through in the mid to late afternoon. Numerous large tornadoes, 3-inch hail, and 85mph+ winds are likely today with this wave. Please stay safe in this situation.
