Narco Blog: Two Girls Found Butchered in Nuevo Leon Had Been Arrested/Released Hours Earlier
Yesterday two young women were found mutilated on Highway Cadereyta-Allende in Nuevo Leon. The remains were placed in plastic bins and had remained for several hours before being noticed. It was not until Monday afternoon Aurora Cavazos, head of the Ministry of Social Development of Nuevo Leon, confirmed that one of the young girls killed was his niece. The official said that his niece Katia Castillo Cavazos, 24, was butchered as well as Candy Cavazos Caballero, of the same age.
” The families are working with the authorities in the case, I was working with a brigade in San Gilberto, when I received a call to come confirm this was indeed my niece” said the official.
Jorge Domene Zambrano, security spokesman, said the two girls had been arrested Sunday night after the early morning but were released then hours later they were found dead.” An investigation is underway as to why the girls were detained and who may have killed them.
The investigation is on going and no one has been arrested yet.
