A friend sent me an Amazon affiliate link which made me discover “Wellness: Guidelines for a Healthy Lifestyle” written by Wener W.K. Hoeger, Lori Waite Turner and Brent Q. Hafen. The trio are reputed researchers and professors in different institutions.
Anyway, what that caught my attention in this book is its overall approach to health. This is the perfect book for those who want to know more about the different unhealthy lifestyles. This is the perfect book those in need of a change.
Wellness: Guidelines for a Healthy Lifestyle focus on improving the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, environmental and spiritual aspects of our lives.
As the name suggests, there are simple guidelines for exercise, diet, stress, sleep and relaxation which will surely lead to a better life. After going through some of the key pages, I found out one thing. That all of us are ignoring a lot of issues that needs to be dealt with immediately.
The book also gives simple guidelines for proper meditation as well. You’ll be surprised to know how the power of meditation is tripled when you combine it with the right diet and exercise.
The book covers a lot of topics ranging from proper rest to meditation and stress reduction techniques. The stress reduction section really made me curious.
