The article fails to mention the most important part about coffee. It is rich in potassium and in fact has more in a cup than several bananas. Your cells and nerves need a higher ratio of potassium than sodium for conductivity.
I bought a commercial grade espresso machine and now drink about 6 double espressos a day, most being without caffeine and iced. It is my best possession. If you are sitting on the fence because of the cost you can justify the purchase for health reasons. Look on Craigslist for a good used commercial one.
