obama birth certificate and the benghazi affair by scott erlandson @washamericom

the october surprise doesn’t have to be contrived. traditionally it is tactically deployed by the other side to discredit the opponent. but sometimes they occur naturally. benghazi and the way the 0bama whitehouse dealt with it may be such an example.

as people get to know better the style of business being conducted in one facet of the administration may very well carry over into the other areas of the executive branch. it seems as if the din of the obama government is “always just about to get it together”. from day one “we need more time” is the feeling i get when i think of where we are as a country.

our expectations were too high. seriously, we expected a rock star to be a good president. in the music business there is an expression “fake it till you make it”. for most musicians and people who listen to music, it’s easy to spot a poseur. a poseur is someone who looks great on stage, has all the charisma and the moves, but never learned to play their instrument. fake it till you make it, is in the vein of earn while you learn and we’ll figure it out as we go along.

i knew that obama would tout his experience as a president to be the experience he touts to be reelected. that tells me that it’s confirmed he had none coming in. does four years as a lousy administrater count as the experience i’ve seen.

the media continues to be the sharpest arrow in obama’s quiver. what kind of a person would allow the kind of bias we’ve seen happen with the slanted coverage we’ve suffered the past five years. who would want to win a contest with such an unfair advantage, especially someone who constantly refers to fairness as a politcal virtue and a necessesary for our country. it’s like one contestant trying to swim the butterfly with an anchor around his or her neck. the anchor loses, and the winner chalks up another hollow victory. America is the swimmer, the anchor is the press. the people (voters) need to see this, and compensate for the initial and ongoing media favoritismic disadvantage. 

this election is a choice between socialism and capitalism. do we want to be like europe, or the way we were during the reagan years of triumph and prosperity.

what does this have to do with the obama birth certificate ?

sometime ago, i found it distracting and uncomfortabls to accept anything to do with the obama years, because of this controversial, yet ignored subject  hangs in the balance, like a big fat elephant in the room. when will the elephant speak up? it’s hard to accept anything he’s done as long as the dark cloud of uncertainly envelopes the whitehouse

i have argued for a year and a half that everything is rooted in what i think is a phony presidency. i have noted the odd unnatural behavior and overacting that surrounds obama. and i still ask, why all the fanfare and distraction? why all the gameplaying and covering up of information, why disinformation campaigns from armies of obots dispatch to use ridicule and excoriation as a mechinism to make this subject taboo? a tactic that has worked ever so well. i argued that this subject, and the way it has been managed will carry over in other areas of this administration.

then benghazi happened. more germain to this article, what happened in the days that followed. with aid and comfort from the mainstream media,  the administartion response speaks to the overall style of managing all events and controversies.

well, we’ve seen it (actually we haven’t seen it). even people that watch the obama channels, nbc, cnn, cbs etc, are aware that these “news” outlets continue to omit  and spin everything that could be a negative for this president. it’s gotten so bad that they don’t even try to blend or hide their bias into what used to be called journalism. that’s transparent enough.

perhaps people will begin to discover and appreciate how much the benghazi scandal and the birth certificate cover up are related. the courts and the congress are afraid to look at this trainwreck, they think that obama is to big to fail. when we look back historically at how we missed such an obvious thing (and it’s not just the obama birth certificate, it’s the blanks in his story, even his own book, his ss#, draft registration, what hospital, was he a foreign student, and of course the very birth certificate we have still never seen, and are expected to believe just is).

so if you accept the story of benghazi as gospel, and believe that it’s all transparent and copacetic, then fine, vote for obama and another four years of “where’s the birth certificate”. i was never afraid to study this subject closely. i have spoken to and gotten to know most of the players on both the birther and antibirther sides. i can tell you that the more people that told me how stupid or racist or crazy i was, the more interested and involved i became. i watched this saga go from a ligitimate topic, with great cases on both sides, to a subject that if you mentioned, opened the floodgates of beratement and false accusation.

i cannot remember any subject,, much less one of national security and world importance, being ignored and avoided, because it was too silly (a narritive that came straight from obama), or too stupid to ask questions about,, or even discuss openly as Americans without risking the basic fear of being ridiculed. we have become complicit to scandal because it’s easier and safer  than being humiliated or laughed at. perhaps unfounded charges of racism are the scariest of all.

and where are we now ?? where’s the birth certificate barack, what happened in benghazi ?
