this is an interesting article. there seems to be a gentle rise in the birther population. I thought it was possible that the repubs are getting a little more tactical in their play for the white house. using the ted cruz eligibility question as a stepping stone to Obama’s provenance and constitutional eligibility, is a bit chicagoish or obamaish, or even somewhat childish. but when did American politics ever rise above any of that ? how about “infantile and futile… ?

and more to the point, how long can a country resist facing a constitutional issue. the field is extremely divided. wikepedia says that the supreme court has never defined “natural born” because they haven’t. here is a reminder video of the judge Thomas quip/quote.

now that the issue involves clearly both sides of the aisle, i’m guessing the supremes will hear a related case sometime before the election of 2016.

there is no precedent for this. the obots will cite wong kim ark, but he wasn’t running for president. same goes for other landmark decisions.

the only thing I would add is that if the republican party chooses a black or hispanic or any race other than white candidate, and I hope they do; and if the candidate is qualified, which I hope they are all equally vetted; then if there is [I]one peep from one person[/I] complaining about one thing about that candidate: that will immediately prove that the entire democrat/liberal population are racists/hypocrites. cause that’s the way they tried to paint us (conservatives).

turnabout is fair play. I guess we’ve been avoiding that too. obviously it’s a silly notion to generalize and entire party, but that’s what they have made this, and it’s all right here in the thread archives. there are even comments of mine somewhere here, where I warn the opposition, someday there will be an ethnic republican president, and it will be great for the country, and bad for the obots. remember the way the media and the crats skewerd one of my favorite people/candidates mr. herman cain. I didn’t hear much outcry of racism from either side… so we still have some work to do, but things will get better.

when it comes to liberal democrats/semicrats, you can cut the hypocrisy with a knife. their double standard on racism will be shown/transparent, once and for all. i’m not sure which is more ridiculous, obama refusing to show his birth certificate, the crys of racism, or the concept that democrats think/wish there will never be a United States president of ethnic origin.

i think both sides want a woman though, so maybe there’s a clue.
