Bridge Closure – finally happening, be prepared 7/13 – 7/31
I always give us much notice as I can and shared last June about the bridge repair project that would be happening in our area.
That repair starts in two weeks (July 13th) and will have Hwy 76 blocked until the completion of the repairs on July 31st.
Be on the lookout for detour signs to help navigate around a main thoroughfare in our community!
Heads up, when finished, we won’t see any visible changes to the bridge. No raising of the height, no widening for four lanes. The repairs are in order to keep the bridge from “falling apart” for another 25 years.
Purpose and Need
The purpose of this project is to reduce the number of load restricted bridges by performing comprehensive and cost effective repairs identified at U.S.76 over C.N.&L Railroad.
