El-Sayed’s Campaign Confirms He Still Follows Sharia Law in Personal Life

Abdulrahman El-Sayed’s campaign confirmed the Michigan Democrat Senate nominee still complies with Sharia law in his personal life, after resurfaced 2009 comments in which he described following it as a lifelong “obligation.”

El-Sayed made the remarks to the New York Times in 2009, when the Times identified him as a 24-year-old medical student and Rhodes scholar who had taken out a “Sharia-compliant” mortgage to buy a $123,000 condominium in Ann Arbor. The Washington Free Beacon first reported on the unearthed interview.

Campaign spokeswoman Roxie Richner confirmed to the Free Beacon that El-Sayed continues to live by his faith.

“Abdul believes in the separation of church and state,” Richner said. “While he personally lives by the rules of his faith, as many Americans of various faiths do, Abdul opposes any effort by any religious community to write their faith laws into the laws of our country.”

Oh, OK. They trot out the Dem talking point about separation of church and state, then say he practices it in his personal life but not public? And doesn’t want it in our laws?

(Religion Of Peace) Sharia is Islamic Law.  It is the religious legal system that governs the political, social and moral duties of faithful Muslims.  It is what is meant by “God’s Law.”

Sharia is not optional; it is prescribed for believers (5:48).  Although Muslims as individuals often decide which parts to follow or ignore, the Quran (33:36) says that it is not fitting for a believer to choose for themselves (i.e., disregard) any matter already decided by Allah.

Likewise, a government that limits God’s Law in any way is an enemy of Allah and must be fought.  The establishment of Sharia is a fundamental objective of every Islamic terror group.  Once an Islamic state is in place, the Quran (9:29) and Sharia (o9.8) make it mandatory for Muslims to fight those Jews and Christians who will not convert or accept inferior status.

This reality is left out by proponents of Sharia in the West, who hide behind the cloak of religion and expose only the more benign personal rules (such as those dealing with prayer and hygiene).  This is to make it appear as if detractors are religious bigots whose real problem is intolerance for a different set of beliefs about God and worship.

The Islamists have been doing this for decades as they invade non-Islamic nations, particularly “Western” ones. They hide their true beliefs and objectives till they do not have to. Think how quickly Canada changed to protect Muslims from “Islamophobia”, ie, even mild criticism. How many were sued or prosecuted for this? Think about England looking away as all those children were groomed almost 20 years ago? The no-go zones in Sweden?

If he practices sharia, then he cannot swear to uphold the Constitution. The idea here for the Islamists like El-Sayed is to trick the Useful Idiots in the Democrat party to elect them so they can quietly push their Islamist beliefs behind the scene. No one actually thinks he’s into all the stuff the DSA pushes, right? It’s just useful. He loves the Democrat notion of getting rid of the 2nd Amendment (and patronizing them by saying he wants to replace it with a right to healthcare) because it would mean only the government would have guns, and citizens would not be able to defend themselves.
