Passing The Buck: Deputy AG Unhappy With Having His Name Involved In Comey Firing
The shock of FBI Director James Comey being fired earlier this week has not come without a lot of controversy.
First, the white elephant in the room: Liberals that were calling for Comey’s hide the day before are now his staunchest defenders.
Secondly, it happened in the middle of an investigation, so the timing looks really bad.
Lastly, the reasons given for the firing were that Trump was following the recommendations of his Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Concerning that last point, that area is quite murky. So much so that a new report says Rosenstein threatened to resign over having his name dragged into this particular political quagmire.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to quit after the White House cast his recommendation as the sole reason FBI Director James Comey was fired, according to The Washington Post.
Trump had asked Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to put in writing a rationale for firing the former FBI director, the Post reported.
The Trump administration has provided several explanations for Comey’s firing since Tuesday. Trump said Wednesday that Comey was not “doing a good job,” while White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Comey had committed “atrocities” while leading the bureau.
Get that?
Trump asked for some written justifications for firing Comey. That’s not the same as being given recommendations.
As for committing “atrocities,” it sounds like Sarah Huckabee Sanders went to the same school of communication as Sean Spicer.
Maybe somebody should explain to her what words mean before they let her say them.
