Massachusetts Police Engage In Standoff With “Rise of the Moors”

We’ve heard a lot about “domestic extremism.”

Doesn’t it seem like there has been an uptick though in “black identity extremism” in the Joe Biden era? Strangely, the “journalists” don’t seem to be interested in connecting the dots on this.

“Massachusetts State Police arrested 11 heavily armed individuals following an hours-long standoff that started at around 4 a.m. off an interstate highway.  

During a traffic stop early Saturday morning, a group of men carrying rifles and handguns fled into the nearby woods off Route 95/128. Police initially reported the number as around eight men, later revising the total to 11 following arrests. 

State Police Col. Christopher Mason told Boston 25 News that the men have identified themselves as part of a group called “Rise of the Moors,” a group that “does not recognize our laws.”  …”

“WAKEFIELD, Mass. —Massachusetts State Police investigators are working to determine if the 11 men who were arrested in connection with a standoff on Interstate 95 on Saturday are confirmed members of a group with “sovereign citizen” ideology.

The men were taken into custody following a peaceful resolution to a standoff that lasted nearly 9 hours on I-95 north. …

A group calling themselves “Moorish American Arms” posted a video on Instagram overnight showing armed members blocking the highway. In addition, live videos from the scene were shared by the YouTube account “Rise of the Moors.”

In one of those live YouTube videos, a man stated that he was broadcasting from Interstate 95 in Wakefield near Exit 57.

“We are not anti-government. We are not anti-police, we are not sovereign citizens, we’re not Black identity extremists,” he said. “As specified multiple times to the police, we are abiding by the peaceful journey laws of the United States.”

“You can imagine 11 armed individuals standing with long guns slung on an interstate highway at 2 in the morning certainly raises concerns and is not consistent with the firearms laws that we have here in Massachusetts,” Mason said. “I understand that they have a different perspective on that. I appreciate that perspective, I disagree with that perspective at the end of the day, but I recognize that it’s theirs.” …”
