I have to laugh at people who claim they have a lot of friends in all walks of life. Acquaintances are tolerated for show purposes . To claim that some groups have to be tolerated is a continual myth. In the name of Constitutional freedom. It will be continuously abused in the name of DE-mocracy. As it has destabilized ethics , morality, And our Constitution. by allowing the ideals of psychopathy to become mainstream rights of government in the name of liberty and freedom regardless of established principles. Pete mentioned The Book of Revelation in closing. Some BIN contributors (and myself as well) have been concerned about its seemingly unconditional curse on Last Days (pre-Millennial) civilization for quite some time. I was conflicted between duty to accept the KJ Bible and my own personal discernment that such teachings were destructive to Christian survival. Finally I decided to review the history of how Revelation became canon and the claim it was authored by the Apostle John.
Emperor Constantine’s scribe Eusebius recorded 200AD+ claims by Bishop Dionysius of Alexandria (and others) that Revelation was a forgery by known Gnostic Rabii Corinthus, a denier of God and Jesus. Catholic councils gave in to its inclusion by Athanasius at Council of Laodicia in 367AD. It was finalized as Canon in 397AD. Scholar Sir Anthony Kenny also claims that the word use patterns in Revelation differ from those in The Gospel of John, suggesting that they are two different authors.
I’m less inclined nowadays to accept the so-called “inspired” claims of Bible composition, particularly in the area of inclusion and omission regarding Apocryphal or ancient texts such as Book of Enoch (who walked with God) that Apostles referred to in the New Testament. “What God has ordained, let man not put asunder” may be the best advice. Christians may wrongly presume inspiration to be a given among unhallowed hands involved in Bible composition, not just the translators who presented the various…

Consider that Holy Bible books may have been compromised by Mithraism believer Constantine and the Papacy. Key books such as Book of Enoch (covering Fallen Angels and Last Days) were deleted, while others like Revelation with questionable motive and authorship are being promoted.
