Where We are Now and What's Next
When God created the heavens and the earth and everything in it, mankind was given 6000 years to live on this earth. Our time is almost up. We don’t know exactly when that is because we have lost count and don’t know what year we are currently in, but we are very close. Near the end of our time on earth, there will be great tribulation until Jesus returns to put an end to it and establish His Kingdom on earth for 1000 years which will complete the 7000 year cycle established by God. When Jesus returns he will separate the people into two groups. Those that will live with him in His Kingdom and those that will not.
So…..we are either very near the end or the beginning depending on how you see it. If you are Not looking forward to Jesus’ coming, if you Don’t believe in him, if you have No intention of ever doing so, then you are at the end of your time. You will be judged for your sins, pay the prescribed price in the lake of fire, and then perish. But….if you Are looking forward to Jesus’ return and you Have been Born Again and Want to live with Him for eternity, then it is the beginning of a new life for you. There is nothing we can do to change any of this, it was all planned long ago. The only thing we can change is whether we wish to live forever with Jesus or we don’t. Everyone gets to choose.
