Western Conference team interested in Josh Giddey per report
As a new regime takes over for the Chicago Bulls, this is going to be a big offseason for Bryson Graham and his staff. They have two first-round picks in the 2026 NBA Draft and a healthy cap situation.
They could also make some moves via a trade.
No one on the Bulls’ roster outside of Matas Buzelis is untradable. Chicago could have some pieces to move to try and acquire more picks for the upcoming draft. But one name is drawing some interest from a pair of Western Conference teams.
The report on Friday out of Minneapolis was that the Timberwolves could try and pry Josh Giddey out of Chicago. While that situation could com to fruition over the next few weeks, another team is also reportedly interested.
Phoenix Suns also show interest in Josh Giddey per report
Another Western Conference team is potentially looking to get involved in the Josh Giddey sweepstakes, if there is one. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype mentioned the Phoenix Suns as a team that is showing interest in Giddey:
“Goodwin had a breakout season, averaging career-highs in points (8.7), rebounds (4.9), and steals (1.5) in 70 games. Within league circles, Goodwin’s projected salary range is believed to be around $5-6 million per season. Lastly, the Suns have also done some background on Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey, HoopsHype has learned.”
Giddey was traded to Chicago in the deal that sent Alex Caruso to Oklahoma City. For the Bulls, they really could use more draft picks and if Giddey isn’t part of the future plans for Graham or Tiago Splitter, it would make sense for the Bulls to move him.
They could get into an interesting situation where a bidding war between the Timberwolves and Suns would benefit the Bulls. Phoenix doesn’t have a ton to trade in terms of picks but they could use one of their centers as trade bait. A young center coming back in a deal for Giddey could be beneficial for the Bulls in terms of their rebuild.
