Atlanta Dream respond to Angel Reese’s strong message
Angel Reese is amid a historic WNBA season. The Atlanta Dream star has broken several league records and has won the Player of the Week honors two straight times. She posted a strong message on Instagram, which the team reacted to.
Reese now owns the mark for most double-doubles and rebounds in a season, along with the most rebounds in a game. She is averaging 16.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists through 39 games, helping Atlanta to a 26-14 record. The team is tied with the Indiana Fever for fourth place, trailing the Las Vegas Aces by just one game.
Reese is in Berlin with Team USA for the FIBA World Cup. She will return to action with her Dream teammates on Sept. 17 against the Connecticut Sun. They have four games left in their regular-season schedule.
Atlanta Dream comments on Angel Reese’s Instagram post
The 24-year-old uploaded a carousel of photos from different moments this season. The snaps featured her on the court, as well as her tunnel walks where she showed off her pregame outfits.
“It’s finally my time, look what grindin did for me,” Reese wrote. “I wasn’t doing no cryin’ i was just telling my story. I play the hand i was dealt, i’m quick to adapt, i play the game how it go. I’M A HUSTLER BABY, look what grindin did for me.”
Atlanta dropped a three-word reaction in the comments section.

,” the Dream wrote.
Reese is one of four Atlanta players competing in the tournament. She and Rhyne Howard will represent the U.S., while Isobel Borlase will suit up for Australia and Sika Kone is joining Mali.
The World Cup will begin on Friday, culminating with the gold medal game on Sept. 13. Reese and Co. are the favorites to win it for the eighth consecutive time, especially with their star-studded lineup consisting of WNBA standouts.
