Angel Reese, Dream facing uncertainty ahead of Game 6 of WNBA Finals
The Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries are currently 2-2 in the 2026 WNBA Finals. At least six games are needed to determine this year’s champion. Angel Reese and Co. failed to take a 3-1 lead, losing 67-62 on Saturday at State Farm Arena. They will host Game 6 on Thursday but the venue remains up in the air.
Golden State held Reese to just eight points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three blocks. She delivered a subpar performance compared to her numbers in the first three games. Rhyne Howard led the way for Atlanta with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Jordin Canada contributed 10 points and four assists. Isobel Borlase added 10 points and two rebounds off the bench. However, none of their teammates scored in double digits.
The series will return to Chase Center in San Francisco for Game 5 on Monday. The Valkyries’ fans will be in full force again to cheer the team on to take a 3-2 series lead.
Schedule conflict could move Angel Reese, Dream to different venue for Game 6
Reese and the Dream are facing a schedule conflict with the Atlanta Hawks. They could play Game 6 at Gateway Center Arena despite fans selling out Games 3 and 4 at State Farm Arena. The Dream played 38 regular-season games at the 3,500 seater venue, and only six at the arena they share with the Hawks.
“The Dream have played all five playoff games at the 17,000-seat State Farm Arena, but due to scheduling conflicts with the Hawks, multiple sources believe Game 6 could be played at the 3500-seat Gateway Arena,” ESPNW wrote.

The WNBA moved the finals schedule by one day, allowing the Dream to host Games 3 and 4 at State Farm Arena. The Hawks also agreed to play a doubleheader on Saturday. The Dream will announce the final venue for Game 6 soon.
