The Indiana Fever saw their season end on Oct. 1 at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces. They pushed the first-round series to a winner-take-all Game 3 but failed to dethrone the defending champions, losing 94-83. However, there were a few bright spots that emerged this season, and one of them is Makayla Timpson’s strong play. Caitlin Clark acknowledged it and left a comment on her recent social media post.

Timpson became regular part of the starting unit along with Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull. She provided Indiana with a reliable inside presence who can finish efficiently near the basket. The second-year forward’s defense also shined throughout the campaign.

Meanwhile, Clark broke several WNBA and franchise records this year. She earned her third consecutive All-Star nod and was also named to Team USA’s roster for the FIBA Women’s World Cup.

Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark reacts to Makayla Timpson’s Instagram post

Timpson uploaded a carousel of photos on Instagram on Saturday featuring her in different moments this season. She expressed pride in the growth she showed in her caption.

“Year 2 growth, consistency, & joy ðŸ™ðŸ½❤,” Timpson wrote.

Clark dropped a motivational message for her teammate.

“So proud of u kk!!!!! Only up from here,” Clark commented.

Clark and Timpson have forged a strong bond on and off the court. The forward has often been the recipient of the star guard’s assists, setting her up for easy baskets.

The future is bright for the Fever with the two likely to continue playing alongside each other for year’s to come. However, they could have a new-look lineup next season depending on the front office’s moves. Their executives have big decisions to make in free agency, including the future of Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham, among others. The team is hungrier now and will look to have at least a deeper postseason run in 2027.
