Fever fans bracing for Kelsey Mitchell’s exit after 9 seasons with the team
Kelsey Mitchell is set to become an unrestricted free agent and could leave the Indiana Fever after nine seasons. Fever fans shared their thoughts about comments, with some believing that she’ll sign with a different team.
“she’s going to play with angel reese…. a player that will actually compliment her,” one fan said.
“Now that she has all her money from Caitlin she can go find another sleepy team where she can go pump twenty a night without any noise,” a comment read.
“Kelley is also reaping the benefits of having career best years with Caitlin at point. I would think she’d want the attention and success. But, if not that’s fine she should do whatever is best for Kelsey,” one user wrote.
“It’s not that fans don’t like you. It’s that they don’t care about you, one way or the other,” posted another.
“I am disappointed in her statement. I hope she stays,” another fan commented.
“Well then, she can go play somewhere else,” a reaction read.
Analysts expect Mitchell to generate a lot of interest from teams around the league. While she has spent her entire career with the Fever, she could decide to leave for a new environment. Ultimately, her free agency decision will likely be heavily influenced by the offer she receives and which team gives her the best chance to win a title.
