Jets Injury Report: Hall Limited, Allen Full Thursday
The Thursday Jets injury report showed progress for Braelon Allen, but several important questions remain ahead of the Week 8 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. Allen returned to full participation after being limited Wednesday with an ankle injury. Breece Hall and Dylan Parham remained limited, while David Bailey, Max Mitchell, Joseph Ossai and T’Vondre Sweat missed practice for the second straight day.
For fans looking ahead to Sunday, checking player availability should come before making predictions, setting fantasy lineups or reviewing the phandroid.com guide to Kalshi sign-up perks. This report gives us a clearer picture of the practice week, but neither team has assigned final game statuses yet. There is still a difference between Thursday participation and knowing who will be available Sunday.
Braelon Allen Full, Breece Hall Still Limited
Allen moving to full participation is the most encouraging change on the offensive side. His ankle is still listed, but Thursday’s designation means he took 100 percent of his normal practice reps. That is a positive step for a backfield that also has Hall working through a quad injury.
Hall remained limited for the second consecutive practice, and left guard Dylan Parham followed the same pattern with his knee injury. Both are participating, but neither has advanced to a full practice this week. Friday will help clarify their situations, particularly whether Hall can take on more work and whether Parham is moving toward his normal role up front.
Glenn Called Sweat and Ossai Week-to-Week
When Aaron Glenn addressed injuries Wednesday, he placed Sweat and Ossai in the week-to-week category. Neither practiced Thursday, with Sweat listed because of his knee and Ossai because of his ankle. Their continued absences leave the Jets with uncertainty both inside and on the edge of the defensive front.
Glenn took a different approach with Bailey and Mitchell, saying the team would see how the week progressed. Bailey is dealing with a groin injury, while Mitchell is coming off a concussion. Both remained out Thursday, so there has not yet been an improvement in their listed practice participation. That does not establish their Sunday availability, but it makes Friday’s update important.
Jets Thursday Practice Report
| Position | Player | Injury / Reason | Wednesday | Thursday |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Edge | David Bailey | Groin | DNP | DNP |
| OL | Max Mitchell | Concussion | DNP | DNP |
| Edge | Joseph Ossai | Ankle | DNP | DNP |
| DL | T’Vondre Sweat | Knee | DNP | DNP |
| RB | Breece Hall | Quad | LP | LP |
| OL | Dylan Parham | Knee | LP | LP |
| RB | Braelon Allen | Ankle | LP | FP |
| LB | Demario Davis | Veteran rest | DNP | FP |
| DL | Harrison Phillips | Veteran rest | DNP | FP |
Demario Davis and Harrison Phillips returned to full participation after Wednesday veteran rest days. Glenn had identified those absences as rest-related, and both were back taking their normal reps Thursday. With other players across the defensive front still sidelined, having Phillips back on the field is welcome news.
Raiders Get Brock Bowers Back to Full Participation
Las Vegas also had several improvements Thursday, including tight end Brock Bowers moving from limited to full participation with a calf injury. Linebacker Quay Walker made the same jump with his chest injury, while defensive end Kwity Paye returned to full participation after being limited Wednesday for rest. Those are positive developments for the Raiders, although final game designations are still pending.
Offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson appeared on Thursday’s report as a nonparticipant with a back injury. Defensive end Patrick Johnson remained out with a stinger, while Folorunso Fatukasi, DJ Glaze and Ian Thomas were limited for the second straight day. Wide receiver Jack Bech and tight end Carter Runyon were full participants both days.
Raiders Thursday Practice Report
| Position | Player | Injury / Reason | Wednesday | Thursday |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DE | Patrick Johnson | Stinger | DNP | DNP |
| OL | Jackson Powers-Johnson | Back | — | DNP |
| DT | Folorunso Fatukasi | Shoulder | LP | LP |
| OT | DJ Glaze | Ankle | LP | LP |
| TE | Ian Thomas | Shoulder | LP | LP |
| WR | Jack Bech | Forearm | FP | FP |
| TE | Brock Bowers | Calf | LP | FP |
| DE | Kwity Paye | Rest | LP | FP |
| TE | Carter Runyon | Foot | FP | FP |
| LB | Quay Walker | Chest | LP | FP |
DNP means did not participate, LP means limited participation, and FP means full participation. The dash for Powers-Johnson indicates that no Wednesday participation designation was provided in the report.
What Matters Heading Into Friday
For the Jets, the biggest questions remain Hall’s workload, Parham’s progress and whether Bailey or Mitchell can return to practice. Sweat and Ossai warrant particular attention because Glenn described them as week-to-week Wednesday. Allen’s full participation is encouraging, but the Jets still have several unresolved situations in important spots.
The official Thursday injury report has no final game statuses assigned for either team. Friday’s update should narrow the picture before Sunday’s inactive list settles who will dress against the Raiders.
