I accept that worm-holes, black holes, and all kinds of other passage ways and speed-of-light travel, even faster than speed-of-light travel may be possible, but ……

Does that mean that an extraterrestrial civilization is using them to visit the Earth?

Many of my UFO brethren believe this exactly explains UFOs; they are vehicles for an extraterrestrial species who insist upon coming here, from far away.

The reasoning is that Earth is so interesting or an important spawn of ancient space travelers that it attracts and has attracted ETs in manifold numbers.

But on the face of it, such “reasoning” is delusional.

An e-mail back-and-forth, recently, with erudite Joel Crook explained why people believe, or wish to, in ETs.

But aside from a sensible exegesis of human belief systems and perpetual memes that support the erroneous ET scenario, one only has to put Earth, and we humans, in perspective within our galaxy or the vast seen and unseen universe.

It is tiring hoping to force ET believers to look at the vastness of the cosmos, to see how ludicrous it is to think an alien species, or many of them, are traversing space to show up at this forlorn rock in a solar system that seems vast and spectacular to us but, in the great scheme of things, is rather pathetic.

UFOs are enigmatic, but only one minor mystery that confronts humans or has confronted humans.

To persist in the maniacal belief that ETs are here or were here is not only silly but psychopathic.

But you know that’s my view, and I hate to keep harping on it, but UFO buffs need to be god-smacked, over and over again, until they come to their senses, if they still have any.
