Moving Forward On Some Heron Hold Projects

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

At long last, after my roomie Mike’s patient labor (of making a flat spot on the side of a hill and then tamping it down with a special device) I can move forward to complete the Fire Circle I have wanted for so long!

I just need paving stones, weed blocker, sand or small gravel (to go between the stones) and a outdoor fire insert for the middle!I have few resources, but I’m devoting almost all of my “extra” money towards buying what’s needed for this project. It will be worth it!

I reassured Cat that I would have her sign off on all the stuffs– what paving stones to get, what fire insert to buy, etc. I want her to love it as much as I do. She seems relieved that I’m not going back on my word to her just because she made some mistakes lately.

I AM going to use this time of change to institute momentum upon all the delayed projects that she’s blocked for years upon years. (It had to be perfect. She had to be in the mood. Whatever!) No more, though. Now I’m going to push forward. There are plenty of things to do here that take mostly time and labor and very little money (tens or a couple hundred dollars, rather than thousands). Why waste more time? She’s very uncomfortable with the idea, but she seems willing to allow it. I’m hoping she experiences a positive effect, that her land can bring her more joy in life and more joy to others as well.

In addition, Rhonda is giving her canopy/gazebo kit to us, and I’ve found the perfect spot out of the way down by the faery trees. Mike brush-hogged it and it’s all ready for us to set up this weekend. It’ll be a nice meditation spot, or a pagan meeting area, or Mike can sleep outside under the stars but retreat to it if it rains… lots of uses!

We don’t enjoy the nature of the land here, but we need to engage more– well, I need to engage more. I’ve been too cut off from nature over the last few years and I’m tired of waiting for some “better time” to get to it (shades of Cat’s moody delays). So– things have come together and I’m making it work. I’m feeling really excited to have a place for all of us to go to get away a little and have some privacy outdoors.
