Super Tuesday Recap

One of the most important days in the entire Democratic Primary process happened yesterday, as Democrats in 14 different states showed up to vote for their nominee for president.

Many thought it would be the day where socialist Senator Bernie Sanders would solidify his front-runner status in the Democratic Party, but to disdain of the “Bernie Bros” that didn’t happen…

Joe Biden took a commanding lead in the Super Tuesday voting, leaving Sanders in the dust. Of the 14 states that voted, 10 were called for Biden and only 4 were called for Sanders.

The breakdown was as follows:

  1. Alabama went to Joe Biden with over 63% of the vote.
  2. Arkansas went to Joe Biden with over 40% of the vote.
  3. Massachusetts went to Joe Biden with over 33% of the vote.
  4. Minnesota went to Joe Biden with over 38% of the vote.
  5. North Carolina went to Joe Biden with over 43% of the vote.
  6. Oklahoma went to Joe Biden with over 38% of the vote.
  7. Tennessee went to Joe Biden with over 41% of the vote.
  8. Texas went to Joe Biden with over 34% of the vote.
  9. Virginia went to Joe Biden with over 53% of the vote.
  10. Maine went to Joe Biden with over 34% of the vote.
  11. Colorado went to Bernie Sanders with over 36% of the vote.
  12. Utah went to Bernie Sanders with over 34% of the vote.
  13. Vermont went to Bernie Sanders with over 50% of the vote.
  14. California went to Bernie sanders with over 33% of the vote.

Overall, Joe Biden won 433 total delegates, with Bernie Sanders only winning 388 total delegates. These vote totals showed a resounding rejection of socialism amongst the Democratic Party voters in these 14 states. Bernie’s historic rise fell (unshockingly) flat, on Super Tuesday.
