Yes I predicted this a few days ago in a past post on this site. Only because we are well past due for these types of storms, cold blast.
You will notice how people seem to crowd the stores during cold fronts. So prepare early, get your staples, draw up fresh drinking water. Have some type of 2nd heat on hand, and keep safe. I keep propane for emergency heat. Although it is safe I never leave it on while sleeping. Plus I have a dog that is on guard duty at night, and if he gets tired, and cannot stay up any longer he wakes me up before he sleeps.

I have listened to many meteorologist that have quit the profession due to threats. Mostly Radio interviews. They claim weather modification, is a serious issue. Who knows right?
Point is, what happens in one part of the country usually has a ripple effect. When something like this hits the W. Coast it is severe, and can destroy Citrus Trees, and Avocado Trees. Along with many more tropical type plants. This is not considered frost on the toes, or T_Shirt weather. This kind of weather can ruin a farmers life. So as this may not be a big deal for Northern states, it is huge for Calif, although it will effect almost everyone in one form or another. From the interviews I have listened to, there really is no Weather forecasting anymore. Nothing bad towards you or your article, it is always good to get info out. Point is who really knows what is going on with the weather?
Honestly, if you look at the ocean, salt water……plus add some radio active material into the mix there is going to also be a chain reaction that effects the weather.
