Conservatives Join Socialists Against Le Pen

European conservative leaders quickly signaled their support for Left-wing front-runner Emmanuel Macron after the first round of the French presidential election. For example, the defeated conservative French candidate, instead of endorsing National Front leader Marine Le Pen (who supports re-establiahing France’s sovereignty, fighting Islamic terrorism and halting mass Third World immigration), rushed to endorse Macron (who is a strong supporter of the European Union and replacing the native French population with African and Arab Muslim immigrants). Newstalk reports:

François Fillon was one of the first defeated candidates to endorse Macron, insisting that France must block the National Front from taking power. But Fillon, whose campaign was dogged by accusations of financial impropriety, added: “I’m not doing this with a lightness of heart.”

“There’s no choice but to vote against the extreme right. I will vote in favour of Emmanuel Macron,” Fillon told his dejected supporters.

Former French Prime Minister Alain Juppé, a Republican party colleague of Fillon, also announced he would be voting for the 39-year-old Macron “without hesitation,” seeing the choice as a “duel against the extreme right, which would be a disaster for France.”

Fillon, supposedly a man of the Right, felt he had no choice but to support a Leftist against a Right-wing candidate. Juppé, also supposedly a man of the Right, believed that having a Right-wing president who campaigned on putting the French first in trade and immigration would “be a disaster for France.” So much for the conservative Republicans of France!

How about the governing Christian Democrats of Germany? These are the conservatives who in the last two years welcomed a flood of over a million Muslim illegal immigrants, many of whom turned out to be sexual predators and Islamic terrorists. Deutsche Welle reports that their leaders are much like the French conservatives and eager to back a Left-wing globalist:

German lawmakers across the board have welcomed the victory of pro-Europe candidate Emmanuel Macron in the first round of France’s presidential election on Sunday, calling it a win against nationalism and populism.

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s spokesman, Steffen Seibert, wrote on Twitter: “Good that Emmauel Macron has been successful with his firm course for a strong EU and a social market economy,” and wished Macron “all the best for the next two weeks.”

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has also endorsed Macron. This is not shocking given Le Pen’s criticism of the EU but it does break protocal and show strongly the establishment is united in opposing the Right-wing.

As Le Pen has noted, the primary political divide is no longer between Left and Right but between globalism and nationalism. And in Europe, just as in the United States, conservative leaders are firmly on the side of globalism, free trade and mass immigration.
