The Ravens’ Receiving Corps Got a Total Overhaul
Everyone already knows to draft Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. The real fantasy homework this summer is figuring out who’s actually catching passes behind Zay Flowers.
A Different Coaching Staff, the Same Foundation
Baltimore finished 8-9 last season, its worst record since 2015, after Lamar Jackson opened the year averaging 240.7 passing yards and 27 fantasy points per game before an injury changed the whole trajectory of the season. Yahoo Sports’ training camp preview lays out the fallout: John Harbaugh left for the Giants job in January after 18 seasons, and offensive coordinator Todd Monken left too, taking the Browns’ head coaching job. New head coach Jesse Minter, promoted from defensive coordinator, hired first-year offensive coordinator Declan Doyle to run the offense Jackson has to learn from scratch.
The Tight End Room Turned Over Completely
This is the part of the cheat sheet that actually changed. Both Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar left in free agency, Likely to the Giants and Kolar to the Rams, leaving Mark Andrews as the unquestioned No. 1 tight end for the first time in years. Baltimore replaced that depth with veteran Durham Smythe and rookies Matthew Hibner and Josh Cuevas, none of whom profile as a real threat to Andrews’ snaps. Andrews caught 11 touchdowns in 2024 but had a rough 2025 by his own standards, and with the depth chart behind him this thin, his target share should climb back toward where it was two years ago.
The receiver room got a similar refresh. Zay Flowers remains the clear WR1 despite a well-documented fumbling problem, and the Ravens used draft picks on Ja’Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarratt specifically to push incumbent Rashod Bateman, with his only real fantasy-relevant season came in 2024, and both rookies are real competition, not camp filler, which makes his role the single least settled question at the position.
Why the Draft-Assistant Tools Actually Matter Here
A situation like Baltimore’s receiver room, three real competitors for two roles behind an established WR1, is exactly why a fantasy football cheatsheet is worth revisiting closer to the season instead of trusting whatever you printed in June. RotoWire, the premium fantasy sports and sports betting data platform, updates exactly this kind of target competition as camp battles resolve, which matters more for Baltimore’s receiver room this year than it has in past seasons.
“Andrews being the unquestioned number one tight end is the most underrated change on this roster,” an analyst said. “Nobody behind him on the depth chart is walking into 20 percent of the snaps, so Baltimore is basically running it back with a one-man room whether they admit it or not.”
The Backfield Question Everyone Else Is Already Covering
Derrick Henry turns 32 this season, and what happens if he misses time is a real question. our own breakdown of Baltimore’s thin depth behind Henry already covers Justice Hill’s limitations and Keaton Mitchell’s departure for the Chargers in detail, so this piece stays on the receiving corps instead of repeating that ground.
“I trust Henry until he actually shows me he’s slowing down,” a fan said. “But last year proved this whole offense runs through Lamar’s legs as much as anyone in that backfield. Keep an eye on who backs up Henry, but don’t let it be the only thing you’re watching.”
