Angel Reese draws strong reaction from WNBA legend
Angel Reese’s historic season will continue as she and the Atlanta Dream are through to the WNBA Finals. They swept the New York Liberty on Saturday and remain unbeaten in the playoffs. The star forward posted a carousel of photos on Instagram, which drew a strong message from league legend Lisa Leslie
Reese finished Game 3 with with a team-high 22 points, along with nine rebounds, three assists an two blocks. Rhyne Howard backed her with 21 points, while Jordin Canada produced 19 points, three rebounds and 11 assists. DeWanna Bonner added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the 85-83 win.
Atlanta reached the finals for the first time since 2013 and is aiming to win its first ever title. Reese joined the Dream in April via a trade from the Chicago Sky, which has turned into a great decision by the franchise.
Lisa Leslie comments on Angel Reese’s social media post
Reese expressed pride in what she and her teammates have achieved so far this season. She also highlighted that Atlanta swept its opponent for the second straight playoff round.
“ROUND 2: Sweep loaded with blessings, sent some rejections & we even packed up some lemon pepper selections. 
,” Reese wrote.
Leslie dropped a three-word reaction in the comments section.
“Let ‘Em Know
,” Leslie commented.
The Dream entered the postseason as the No. 4-seeded team with a 30-14 regular-season record. They advanced to the semifinals after eliminating the No. 5-seeded Washington Mystics in two games.
Reese and Co. will face the Golden State Valkyries in finals. While the three-time All-Star is expected to once again dominate inside the paint, the No. 2 team also has a formidable roster. Gabby Williams will lead its charge, along with Cecilia Zandalasini and Veronica Burton, among others. The Valkyries booked their finals ticket after sweeping the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces.
